Privacy Policy

How LiteHub collects, uses and protects your personal information — in plain language, under Quebec’s Law 25.

In effect since June 25, 2026.

LiteHub (“we”, “us”) is a digital studio based in Montréal, Québec. This policy explains what personal information we collect through litehub.ca, why we collect it, who we share it with, and the rights you have under Québec’s Law 25 (the Act respecting the protection of personal information in the private sector) and Canada’s PIPEDA.

We only collect what we need, we ask for your consent before loading any analytics or advertising tools, and you can withdraw that consent at any time.

Information we collect

We collect personal information in two ways:

  • Information you give us — when you submit our contact or audit forms we collect your name, email address, phone number, company name, website URL and anything you write in the message field.
  • Information collected automatically — with your consent, our analytics and advertising tools collect technical data such as your IP address, device and browser, pages viewed, actions on the site, approximate location, and cookie or device identifiers.

We do not knowingly collect sensitive information, and we ask you not to send any through our forms.

Why we use it (purposes)

We use your personal information only for these purposes:

  • To respond to your inquiries and provide the service or audit you ask for.
  • To measure and understand site traffic so we can improve our content and performance (analytics).
  • To measure our advertising and, where you allow it, show relevant ads and reduce wasted spend (retargeting).
  • To meet our legal and security obligations.

Cookies and similar technologies

A cookie is a small file stored on your device. We group cookies into three categories:

  • Strictly necessary — needed for the site to function and to remember your language and cookie choices. Always active, never used to track you.
  • Analytics — Google Analytics 4, for anonymous, aggregate traffic statistics.
  • Advertising — the Meta (Facebook) Pixel, to measure ad campaigns and enable retargeting.

On your first visit a banner lets you accept or refuse the optional categories. Optional cookies stay off until you turn them on (privacy by default). You can change or withdraw your choice anytime via the “Cookie settings” link in the footer.

Who we share it with

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with the providers we need to operate the site:

  • Google LLC — Google Analytics, for traffic measurement (only if you consent to analytics).
  • Meta Platforms, Inc. — the Facebook Pixel, for advertising measurement and retargeting (only if you consent to advertising).
  • Our email and hosting provider (Web Hosting Canada) — form submissions are emailed to info@litehub.ca and stored in our mailbox.

Google and Meta are located outside Québec, primarily in the United States, so consenting to those tools involves a transfer of information outside the province under their own privacy policies and contractual safeguards.

Where it’s stored and how long we keep it

  • Form submissions and emails are hosted in Canada with Web Hosting Canada. We keep them only as long as needed to handle your request and our business relationship, then delete them.
  • Analytics and advertising data follow Google’s and Meta’s standard retention settings (typically up to 14 months for analytics) and may be processed outside Canada.

You can ask us to delete the information you sent us at any time.

Your rights

Under Law 25 and applicable Canadian law, you have the right to:

  • Access the personal information we hold about you.
  • Correct information that is inaccurate or incomplete.
  • Ask us to delete your information or stop using it.
  • Withdraw your consent to analytics or advertising at any time (use the “Cookie settings” link, or contact us).
  • Receive a copy of the information you provided in a structured, commonly used technological format (portability).
  • Be informed about any automated processing that affects you.

To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the details below; we respond within 30 days. If you are not satisfied, you may file a complaint with the Commission d’accès à l’information du Québec (CAI) at cai.gouv.qc.ca.

Consent

We rely on your consent to collect personal information through our forms and to load analytics and advertising tools. Consent is free and informed: optional tools are off by default, and refusing them does not affect your ability to use the site or contact us. You can withdraw consent at any time.

Security

We use reasonable physical, technical and organizational measures to protect your personal information against loss, theft and unauthorized access. No internet transmission is completely secure, but we work to protect your data and to notify you and the CAI if a confidentiality incident presents a risk of serious harm.

Children

Our services are intended for businesses and adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a minor has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as our practices or the law evolve. The effective date above reflects the latest version, and any significant change will appear on this page.
